Asfandyar Malik is the founder and chief executive of Voho. He leads the company and the Aramco engagement personally, on site in the Eastern Province, and is responsible for the product, the models and the delivery of every line Voho runs.
He built Voho from a Saudi Arabic voice demonstration into the agents now running live inside an operator, and into the open Arabic speech models the industry can test for itself. His argument for the company is simple: the Gulf should not have to run its call centres and service desks on a translated Western stack.
Before Voho he led AI transformation at Porsche Deutschland in Stuttgart, and before that co-founded Culturly, a Berlin software company acquired by Dreamteam (Grewp). He has been an early-stage investor and adviser in AI and consumer companies since 2022, and co-founded the Nadir Foundation, which provides science, computer and English education to women in remote regions of Pakistan.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Jacobs University Bremen, where he studied on a merit scholarship, and speaks regularly on Arabic-first AI, including as a keynote speaker for Google.
